Default Which first: Brakes or Tires?

I've been hit with a serious dilemma here: Both my tires and brake are in dire need of changing. My brake pads are completely worn and my rotors so warped they can't be smoothed down. My tires are so bald and unbalanced my Disco vibrates like a personal massage chair on high! Problem is I don't have the cash to do both first. So which one do I start with? (Recently bought an engagement ring that's why I have no cash hehhehhee)

I would get the brakes done so you can STOP.

Lol luckily I'm a good driver and give myself plenty of time and space to brake.

I say the brakes too. Try and find a good used tire place and get some cheapies put on until you can afford new ones.

Or, you can find a $3-400 beater on craigslist and drive that around so you don't have to worry about tearing your Rover up!

Too bad you're not closer. I have 7 235x70 R16 XPC Michelins I want to get rid of cheap.

Return the engagement ring for a few months and go get brakes AND tires.

Shop around for the cheapest brake parts you can find. Just get something that will last you a few months until you have some extra cash and can put decent brakes on. Get your tires from treadwright.com. I'd bet you could do both jobs for under $500.

Why in the hell didnt you post this months ago when I needed new rubber?
Those are the tires that I was looking for but could not find to save my life.

If I had the money I would still but them.

I figured it would be better to get brakes first then tires. I just don't like driving the Disco around because the vibrations are getting worse and worse it seems like. Brakes aren't as bad as I make them out to be but they definetly need to be changed out. Would rotating and balancing the tires make any difference?
