at 108k i would just drive it like you stole it and enjoy the rig. from all the research i did before buying my 04 i was gonna buy a 03 because they were so much cheaper. but i wanted the CDL and all the 03's in my area were right in the wheelhouse for the pumps going to hell. if the CDL is not a issue for you and you enjoy the truck as is i would not sweat it and just rover on =)

I love the truck and it is in immaculate shape, it rides very smooth and the engine sounds good, but I almost had a seizure when I saw something about the VINs and mine was in range.

Keep an eye on out for your oil light, but if you made it this far, you will probably be ok. It doesn't mean that all are going to fail, just that it might.

Well you are correct. As soon as I drove it off the lot the check engine light came on and I found out the #4 cyl in misfiring. No warranty but the dealer said they would pay for what the mechanic was doing to try and fix it. The mechanic put some new tubing because the old one had some holes in it, but of course the check engine light came back on when I got home. I'm hoping it's just the wires.

replace the wires with magnacores and pop in some new plugs. lots of guys like the bosch +4's. i am not a fan of bosch products and i use NGK iridiums in every vehicle i own.

in any case this should solve your misfire issue

Bosch +4's and Magnacor 8MM wires, not the 7MM. That should do the trick.

The dealer said they just replaced the plugs a week ago, so I'll get the 8mm wires and hopefully that will resolve it. Where is a place to find a good price on these wires?

also pop out a plug and see what the dealer replaced with. if it is some sort of crap autolite $1.88 spark plug i would do yourself a favor now while you will have all the plugs exposed and swap em now. my bet is they wont last 25k miles.
