Default Front Wheel Bearings 01 Disco2

I just had my Disco2 in the shop having the upper/lower ball joints replaced and they notified me that the vibration I have been feeling is front wheel bearings going out. They stated the right side are way gone, and the left is right behind. At first I thought "wheel bearings, easy fix", but after doing research on this forum, it seems to be you cant buy just the bearings, but have to buy the whole hub assembly. I researched all over the internet and found on Atlanticbritish.com a 'hub assembly with ABS sensor' (Part # TAY100060). Their price is $399 ea.

I also saw on my RAV manual that you have to press the old hub off the drive shaft.

SO my questions are:

1) Is a press really needed or is there another way to get it off?

2) Is there an aftermarket bearing set that can be installed on my existing hubs?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I cant drive my beast until I get this repaired.

Thanks!

it is correct, you have to replace the hub. its an enclosed unit, no chance of bearing swap. $325 was the best price i found a few months back. no press needed .... tires on ground and loosen the hub stake nut. lift up and disassemble. a tap with a hammer loosens it right up. easy as any other hub assembly. and you don't have to get the sensor, you have one.
I purchased some low mile used hubs after my last new purchase. I figured if they are that easy to swap, why not.
Press would be used to keep half shaft in place, so as not to disrupt the axle seal. I did not use a press on the ones I did and there was no issue.
