Default Fuel Pump Question.

Fuel pump question. So, I'm swapping out my fuel pump on my 2002 disco 2. It has secondary air injection. I have an evap code for too high of tank pressure and no start issue[new plugs, wires, o2's, CKP, and I'm getting spark, fuses are good, fuel pump does not prome, etc]. I decided to change the fuel pump and I just noticed when I got to my current fuel pump, it does not have the evap sensor on it. The new one does, though. The carpet has been cut before to remove the fuel pump, did they put in the incorrect one? Let say the correct one is in it, can I use the new one?

There are 2 different types. I dont know why but I remember I took a chance when I bought it. I was asked, but I had no idea since I have not seen the unit yet until I cut the carpet.
I think better to have that replaced. You can screwup your cooling system sometimes but not that one.

If if you notice the tabs on the first picture, it had it, they just ripped it off. Feel around for a connector down there and make sure you have a new ring for it

There is a disco ii fuel pump that comes with out the sensor. It has tabs like one was supposed to go there.

There have been some bush repairs done to this before I bought it. I am going to investigate around the tank

How would the sensor screw up the cooling system?

I think the fuel pumps are the same, as the one in it has the tabs to install the sensor.

The pic of the pump in the truck is correct for a Secondary Air Injection. They sent you the wrong pump (# WFX101070 )

You Need#: WFX101060 for SAI

I ordered the wrong one. That being said, can I still use the pump? I don't have fuel pressure and the only difference in looks is the pressure sensor. Does that sensor vent when it has No connection to power?
