Fuel Temp Sensor
I took some pics of what I think is the fuel temp sensor. Is this correct? Is it under pressure? Can I just screw the new one in the same old hole?

I think you are looking at the coolant temp sensor. I think this is the fuel temp sensor. I know the fuel system stays pressurized, so I would run it down before you start. Pull the fuel pump relay, start the truck, and once it dies, it will be down. Turn off ignition and pull the negative lead on the battery.
Good Luck.

I have never heard of a fuel temperature sensor. Very interesting. I guess my formal education in automotive technology is expiring. Well. it's been 10 years almost. What would a computer system adjust based on fuel temperature?
