GD Rear window motor HELP
i have a 99 D1
after purchase of vehicle noticed that rear windows wouldn't go down until after truck had been running for atleast 5 to 10 mins then, would roll down. after about 3 months both rear motors quit working let it go for a couple months. now trying to fix
1. checked fuses in dash OK
2. checked switch in console...swapped plug in for front and rear switches worked fine...
3. took door apart on rear drivers side thought this should be no prob to fix took the motor and arm out to see if it would work with out the window....nothing!!! wouldn't move...
initial thought ok has to be the motors have gone bad so order new motors for both left and right rear windows go to install... plug them up and turn the truck on only to find that the new motors will not go up or down on the actual door switch or the console switch traced wiring back to the console to see if any of the connectors were loose unhooked the plug in under the console in the back, and hooked back up but still nothing!!!! don't know of anything else i could be missing PLEASE HELP!!! wife wants her gas hog back and i am sick of looking at it in the garage...

RE: GD Rear window motor HELP
Your window ECU has broken solder joints.
You need to remove the window ECU and resolder the joints.
The window ECU is behind the glove box.
This is a common problem with DI's, I had a link to a repair site but I cannot find it right now.
Google it, "Land Rover DI window ECU repair" and see what comes up.
