Gear shifting problem
Hi
I've Disco II V8 with A/T ..I put the gear on D and drive it jumps directly from 1st to 4th gear and did not kickdown to 3th or 2th until stop and switch engine of..at the same time M & S lamps flashing..No fault codes in transmission module..But in live data when I put the gear in D for example it shows on P but in the cluster and indication diodes shows it correct position .other thing in live data show that transfer range in low ...

If you are in low range and the Sport button is pressed, you're in manual shift mode so D corresponds to 4th gear. Shift the small lever back into Hi range.
The M&S lights flashing is often caused by low battery voltage. Make sure your battery is charged and that the battery terminals are clean and tight.

But it gives the correct position in the dashboard

so to be clear, when in 'D' on the dash cluster, then you have the 1st to 4th skip? AND the trans is NOT in 'D'....
assuming the cabin shifter is OK, and trans is OK (which is a simple mechanism so unlikely to be the issue), and the XYZ switch is OK, then maybe the selector cable has slipped on the trans selector arm? have to eliminate one at a time...
