Going to tackle the ABS mod
I've been getting intermittent 3 Amigos on my 04, so I'm going to tackle the ABS mod (option B). My question is, while I'm in there should I go ahead and replace the shuttle valves with the ones from Falcon Works (http://www.jewellamberoil.com/sales/...roducts_id=190) or should I just get the shuttle valve seal kit to prevent future leakage (http://www.jewellamberoil.com/sales/...ducts_id=247)? ...or should I just leave well enough alone and just do the ABS mod provided there is no leaking brake fluid?

I am in the same boat as you with intermittent visits from the boys from south of the border. Planning to do Josh's Option B fix this weekend.
I had thought I would go ahead and replace the SVS with the one from Falconworks while I was in there, but now I've decided to not spend the money. I think if you are getting the amigos only intermittently your seals are probably still okay. If I am wrong it is only an hour or so on another day to change them later. It's not like tearing apart the whole top of the engine to get at the headgaskets.

I did Josh's Option B SVS bypass fix yesterday. All went smoothly, but I was surprised by how stiff the hex head screws were to remove. I expected them to be easier to turn once they were broken loose. No big deal, but it was a little annoying just because of how limited the access is under the modulator.
There was no sign of brake fluid anywhere near the switches, and they checked out okay with the ohm meter. There was no need to remove the solenoid pack; I removed only the SVS assembly. A hex socket and a fine tooth, 1/4" drive ratchet would have made the job a little easier than using a standard Allen wrench like I did. I think there was just enough room to fit a small socket and ratchet.
Amigo free since 2/26/11!
