Default Grisly bear in my back yard – help

The Jull/Slave noise theory has promise for bear proofing the Discovery.
I had cut out pipes on my 56 Chevy for drag racing – capped straight exhaust pipes under the doors. When drag racing, you took the caps off for straight out exhaust/power and sound to by pass the muffler. If installed on a Land Rover, the bear would hear you coming.

I have been doing more research on the tweakrover urination on a Discovery theory.
I have checked the official Owners Manual, Passport to Service, Maintenance Manual, the Land Rover website and I can’t find any reference for urinating on a Land Rover.
Maybe they do this on Jeeps. I will look into this.

You could bear proof your discovery.

The larger 3 1/2 inch loads are you best bet in protection. As far as the Taurs judge goes that will not do crap, it shoots the 410 shotgun shells. Sort of like the difference between a .223 and a 50 cal. I find that the best way to keep from running into a bear is to eat a large amount of beans and meat the night before an outting. Then make sure to drive with the windows down and fart uncontrollably, the smell and horiffic sound should keep them away.

I agree, the Judge isn't bear worthy. I was just posting what it was. I'm sure a Bruce Campbell BOOMStick would work well.

"Alright you Primitive Screwheads, listen up! You see this? This... is my boomstick! The twelve-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about a hundred and nine, ninety five. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart."

I think easy mode is the 50 cal mounted to the roof turret... but you then get bonus B.A. points...

Default Grisly bear in my back yard – help

Thank you everyone.

This post has been a lot of fun, and we got our minds out of the garage and now thinking about the real world.

My wife has suggested that I get a fleet of Land Rovers and start a bear viewing business.
This sounds good to me.

Check this tour company out, they do boat tours on the Mainland to see the Grizzlies.

Good pictures of bears and what they do.
My house is about 40 miles from where these pictures where taken.

Remember that bears are always near the top of the threat down.
