well the gas situation has NOT gotten better here in Asheville and the few shipments we are getting are only regular. I have been holding off but I was getting pretty low and I saw the shell had some gas so I didnt have a choice but the fill up ($40 bucks limit)with regular... So once we get back to normal (who knows when....) is there something I should run through the tank to make up for putting in regular? Will a simple bottle of seafoam do the trick???

The good news is I only waited15 mins! thats nothing compared to the 1-2 hrs others have been waiting!!

 

Don't worry about it unless you go thru 6 to 10 tanks of regular, otherwise your fine.

 

Wow Cam, that's crazy you have had to wait that long and have such a low cap on the amount of gas you can get. I thought it was bad when the pump stopped at $75 out here.

 

yeah its getting old. Local lawmakers are doing everything they can but it hasent helped much. Alot of businesses closed today and wont be open again until monday and the two local colleges cancelled all classes and acitvites. And i think that in iteself says alot about how bad the situation is here... I can WAIT for it to be over.

 

They have that low of a cap on gas because of the shortage right now. They are trying to limit how much you can get so that everybody can get some.

 

It's either cap it or let prices climb to slow people down... I'll take the cap

 

yeah me too. $40 bucks was the most I have heard. Most places where stopping it at $15! But they were the ones who had the 1-2 hour lines so it makes since. 3.5 gallons is better than nothing!

 

Well in North Ga we are gettting shipments of gas,but people are actually following the tankers to the station and then others file in and buy the station out before the tanker can get back with another load. To top it off an oil exec from Atlanta called our Gov and told him to cancel the GA / Bama game ?? Come on, if people would stop panic buying they could get caught up, but it is crazy!

GO DAWGS!!!!

 

If people would stop driving they could get cought up on the gas.
Carpool. Walk. Ride a bike. Use the Camry instead of the Disco.
Why dont they put that on the news? Stop being stupid and conserve what you have and it will go farther.
I'm not saying that you guys are stupid, just saying the public in general.

 

Its not that easy, I live in a town with no public tranportation and everything is spread out.
