Has anyone removed their stock running boards?

I removed mine last year. I got the front mud flap kit from AB. It's a little expensive but it comes with all the hardware. I think it was around $180?

Thanks Jafir and BigJim. Thats what i was looking for. I saw the kit and just wondered if that was the way to go or not.
If you read the posts you'll see i never did get a clear answer.
