Question Has this happened to anyone?

This morning I piled the kids in the Disco and the climate control ECU and windshield wipers would not turn on. Oh sh&t! I dropped them off at school and when I cranked it back up, everything worked fine. Is this thing just tempramental or do I have a developing problem.

Thanks,

Steve

I'm starting to figure out that this sort of thing is to be expected.

Check your ignition switch... I experienced the same thing in my friends 04 Disco and while testing it the ignition switch was somewhat slow to revert back to the "normal" position after engine start. The A/C, wipers, and some other stuff won't work unless the key is in the right position.

Lube up the key with key lube and insert it into the ignition switch and it should take care of the problem...

Be sure to use a DRY GRAPHITE LUBE!!!!!!!! WD40 or PB or any other liquid will cause a bunch of problems.
Graphite is only a couple of bucks at any parts store.
Had a similar problem a while back and the graphite worked like a champ.
Good luck.

When anything goes wrong with your Rover, simply insert and play the following CD and all will be well. Considering it paying the Queens tax. Once she'd paid, then your Rover will be returned to a normal operating condition.
