HD drag and track rod installation

Hey guys,
I got a new set of HD steering gear and was curious if I needed to jack up the truck in order to do it? With the lift and tires i have plenty of room but was curious if there was an advantage to jacking it up for the procedure? I can already hear.. "why wouldn't you" long story short it would be of considerable benefit for me to leave her planted on the ground. Thoughts?

I put mine on with all 4 wheels still on the ground.

Thanks for the that Steve! Did you use a pickle, pusher, or hammer to free the original TRE's?

I just did mine last weekend and it came off fairly easy with the pickle fork. I noticed that I will a new bolt for the steering stabilizer since the bracket was beefier than stock.

Thanks for the heads up! What kit did you install? Also do you happen to know what sized bolt you needed?

I ordered mine from lucky8, they make their own now. The rods are grey and they look great. I havent had any luck finding the bolt yet. I will probably have to order one online. If anyone else knows this bolt size please let me know.
