What is it doing?

The dash switch goes out more than the blower motor on a DI.

Well, Here's the deal. My truck nearly burned up the other day. I had a eletrical short occur on the blower circuit when it was turned on. I was able to remove the motor. To my suprise the motor is seized. I replaced the motor but now the switch will not turn it on. I have confirmed that there is power coming from the switch to the motor. I also confirm the replacement motor works. My question is the resistor pack for the switch, can it go bad? The switch itself seems to light up the test light that I am using. Any ideas would be great. Thanks.

yes the resistor can fail also--the switch fails ussually in way that the blower just stops blowing but tap the switch and it will start again---your problem does not blow on any speed???if so i say resistor
