HELP!! Big white smoke!!
 

My 2000 disco 127000 miles had a ruff idle and low RPM along with a cyl 1 missfire code maybe some of you remember this post a few months ago!? Well I assumed I just needed some new wires Mike said it could be a hose but I havent had time to look, so yester day I seen just a little white smoke after starting I though it was steam cuz it was cold out? BUT today she is blowing BIG white smoke clouds and its not stopping.
Any ideas what this could be and could this be related????

Sounds like your burning water/coolant. If it has a blueish tint it's oil. I'd do a compression test on cylinder #1. Also pressure test the coolant system. Is it heaviest at startup?

You have a blown head gasket and it is leaking coolant into the #1 cylinder flooding it with coolant so it is misfiring.

I would also like to add the smoke smells like when I do my enduction cleaning smell and my oil is a qrt low and my coolant reservoir is empty and I filled it up this sat????

it is for sure a blown gasket.

the qt low part could just be burning oil,,, id be more concerned about that head gasket

Dang how long does that take to change and how hard on a scale of 1-10?

i have built engines before from ground up.

the trick with this is the fact that it is in the rig. on a bench its always much easier.

lets say you are average on the wrenching side. call it a 7 or 8 for difficulty and a weekend in the garage of wrenching not including getting your head decked as a shop.

figure about 500 bucks

So, the big question, how mechanical are you feeling???

Well Im ok with a wrench but if this will save me $1,650 that I was just quoted than im very good with a wrench!! I just looked they are $159 for the head gaskets set!
How long will this take me?

It will take you 2-3 days of sun up to sun down work.
A shop can have it in and out in 2.
