Default HELP!!! Trans Stuck in PARK!!!!

Would appreciate ANY suggestions (other than roll it off a tall cliff.... Not quite ready for that one yet!)

Drove my 2001 Disco all around town yesterday running errands with no problems. Stopped and Restarted several time with no problems.

Parked it in the driveway last night in her usual spot on level asphalt.

Went to leave this morning and could not get her out of Park???? Tried jiggling the Selector Lever, Pumping the Brakes, Restarting her etc...

No Luck getting her out of Park. Any Suggestions?????????

Check the pin on the selector, you will need to pull off the shifter cover and look down inside, the selector button may be jammed

When you press on the brakes, do the brake lights come on? The switch works as an interlock.

Removed the Cup Holders so I could remove the Selector Cover.

Pin was in place, everything looked "Normal"

Pressed on the Brake and the Brake Lights come on.

Tried jiggling the Selector several time and still no luck...……

until you can work out what the problem is, you can press the pin in -- that will let move the shift lever.

Not exactly sure if I am pushing on the right thing or not.

Where exactly is the pin I should be pressing to let the shifter lever move?

lift up the bezel surrounding the shift lever (the bit with the gear position lights and the mode button). it should just lift straight upwards.
on the left side of the bottom of the shift lever you should see a silver lock pin. push it towards the passenger seat to move the shift lever.

THANKS GUYS!!!!!!! Appreciate ALL the help!!!!!

Was able to push the button on the bottom of the Selector and it WORKED!!!

Now I just need to figure out why it won't go into gear on it's own.
