High Low Switches and Sensors
#11
It kindof sounds like your scanner is confused lol. have the tested the Autel's gear positioning report while moving and manually changing gears? from 4th to 3rd, reverse to forward, etc.
also, where is the low gear sensor/switch on the transfer case? i wasnt even aware that there was one so am just realizing mine isnt functioning lol.

Yes, this thing is driving me crazy, there are two indicators on the Autel that show gear position. Neither is correct lol.
In reporting for P, R, N, D, 3, 2, 1:
In AT diagnostic:
Gear Switch : Invalid1, Invalid2, Invalid, N, P, 3rd, Invalid R
Current Gear: N or P, Invalid, N or P, 4th, 4th, 4th, 4th.
The thing giving me a little comfort is the indicator on the gear shifter assy and the instrument panel are both registering OK and the vehicle is obviously using the correct gears when I drive it.
The transfer box switch is above the front casing on the right hand side as you look forward, its a bugger to get out as other have attested.
