Default Hone or not to hone

So instead of fixing my running disco i decided to tear apart the icelandic mold one. One question that i have is whether i should/can hone the liners or not. I'm pretty sure rave says not to hone, but then I've seen a few posts where honing was mentioned.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I would hone lightly to break the glaze and seat the new rings

Maybe a little more than that, you will see it does not do very much interms od removing material. Be sure to use motor oil for lube.
