Default How’s your modified Disco on the highway?

Just curious on how others rides are at higher speeds? I got mine to 60/70 and 80 last night and thought my truck was gonna shake all its parts off! I’ve got 33” muds on it but didn’t have this on my last Disco. All suspension and shafts have been replaced or rebuilt. Steering has been redone from the box, shaft and rods.

I have 33 inch mudders on mine. Use it as a daily driver. Easily get up to 80 - no shaking, shuddering or loud noises. But I have put a lot of work into it to get it to this point. New steering, shocks, springs, sway bars, track bar, driveshaft drag link, tire balance to name a few.

I have found that it is rarely one thing. I’d start with the basics. Tire balance, new shocks, springs. If that has already been done maybe check the driveshaft for being out of balance.

Yeah, did everything you mentioned within the last several months. I’ll try the balancing first.

Same parts replaced as well and no shaking. Hopefully just tire balance issue.

Same as the others. Daily driver, interstate driving at 70-75. No problems. Balance is the easiest to check first. Go from there.
