When I tried to remove that clamp on my 02 Kalahari the darn plastic nipple broke! I am currently running a metal nipple which does have a larger internal opening vs the plastic one, but I haven't seen any difference in the way my 02 D2 runs & no fault codes so I am leaving it in vs ordering an OEM plastic nipple.

Here is the HomeDepot part that fits. I just grabbed this one since mine broke today and it works. Hope this one helps. BTW, you can reuse those hose clamps from LR by using a small screw driver. If you dont have a small screw driver, you can just push the upper clamp towards one side and it will unlock. The video is somehow incorrect type of clamp.

I had that exact same home depot part jammed somewhere in my old jeep engine. I think it was cooling, but can't rightly remember…

Yeah I wish I knew of a replacement for that front one as well. Mine is hanging in there, but it won't last forever!! I was looking at some of those quick release fuel line connectors, but they don't have the same guts to just swap out.

I think the Home Depot solution for the nipple is great. However, if anyone wants a good used nipple, I have them for $10 including shipping.

Same thing was on mine that I bought used probably because of the advice someone found on this forum. I'm pretty sure you need a pcv valve there. If I'm right thank me later but maybe a PSA passthrough will work. I doubt it though. what you need was specifically made for a 89-91 Honda civic Pcv valve. $3.99 at AutoZone. SMH no wonder why these things bleed so much. Back pressure and blowback is caused when you have no valve in that brass fitting. The fitting you posted is made for your fridge water not your land Rover 😭. Anyhow much love hopefully this saves someone in the future. |

You should only install a PCV there if you remove the baffle from the left-hand rocker cover. Well documented all over this forum. |
