What is too much mileage for a DII? Is it okay to buy a DII, in good shape with 103K? What is the limit?

go to the tech section and read "what to look for when buying a land rover" i bought mine with 103k and it needed the usual head gaskets, drive shaft, heater plate, shocks, springs, plugs, wires, fluids and tires.

Depends on the DII and where it's been. I'm the 3rd owner of my DII and I bought it at 105K, it had always been dealer maintained and never seriously off-road before me (and still hasn't). The only things I've had to do so far are new brakes and a new battery.

Find one with good service records and you'll be a happy camper. And, there's really no official limit if your pockets are deep.

Any modern engine will last almost 200,000 miles with little maintenance.
I bought my truck with 152,change on it.
Dont let miles bother you as long as it was well taken care of.

Oh yeah, these trucks will run for a long time with the right maintenance.
There are plenty of people on here who are getting close to 200,000 and dont see an end in sight.
Good shape with 103K isnt bad at all.

There are a number of well maintained D1's and D2's here in Colorado that are pulling 250,000 to 300,000 and more miles.
