Default HVAC ducting diagram? (Vents not blowing enough air)

Anyone have a diagram of the HVAC ducting particularly behind/under the dashboard? I feel as if most of the air is escaping behind the dash somewhere and want to see if there are any specific points of failure I can locate and fix.

Have you disassembled the blower motor? Often they fill up with leaves, parts of the cabin air filter, and other debris - this blocks a lot of the air. Easy to pull out and inspect:

This has instructions for removal (unless yours is making squeaking noises, you probably don't need to clean and rebuild the motor - just dump out the stuff that collects in hte cage and reach up into the ducting and pull out any other debris that's floating around.

Lots of D1/D2's suffer from this especially in warmer climates. The foam used to seal up the flaps will completely dissolve which then allows air to circulate under the dash vs being forced out the vents.

Unfortunately the Disco is designed so that the blend doors do not seal completely one region vs another. It will always bleed air to the windshield and to a certain extent to the floor vents.

I actually replaced the blower a while back so I know that's not the issue.

I was thinking foam had disintegrated as well and there has always been bits and pieces coming out here and there. It has spent it's whole life in the south as far as I know so always been in a warm climate.

Now the question is how do I go about fixing it? Has anyone ever tackeled this before?

I've noticed that as well. Why would they design it that way?

The RAVE has diagrams in the HEATING AND VENTILATION and AIR CONDITIONING sections. You can download the RAVE PDF from the link in my signature.

The first thing I did was look in the RAVE HVAC section, but I didn't see any diagrams pertaining the the ducting behind the dash, only under the center console. Either I missed it or it's not there.

Pretty sure your only option is replacing the deteriorated foam around the duct openings and vent flaps.

My only guess is because it rains all the freaking time in GB and they need to keep the windshield defrosted.
