Default I can't find coolant drain plug ...

Hi, guys!!

First, thank you,Spike555, your answerwas good.

I want to change my water pump, so I have to drain out coolant.

however, i can't find where 2 drain plugs are LH and RH sides of cylinder block.

I have no knowledge about my car.

I just have repair manual.

Please, let me know where.

Dont worry about those two block drain plugs.
You need to remove your lower radiator hose to drain the system.

make sure you have something under there to catch the coolant... its gonna go everywhere and its toxic to animals and people... try to keep it contained, i'm sure your neighbors wouldnt like it if you accidentally killed their dog...

I use one of those cheap blow-up kiddie pools. They're wide and low, you can stuff them under the vehicle easy and you canlift it up and pour into a container pretty easily too.

I wonder if rover petcocks are like VW beetle (old model) radiator caps. Rover tech sends the new guy in the shop to the parts store to pick one up.[sm=smiley36.gif]
