Default I want to add blue tooth to my OE head unit

I know this has been discussed in other forums, but I haven't been able to find the true answer to my question. I'm hoping some of you smart guys can help me out.
In the attached pictures, plug C1354 contains the CD changer input to the rear of the OE Land Rover radio. My plan is to attach a 3.5 mm cable to pins 13,14, 16 & 17, to basically make an aux plug for my blue tooth adapter.

My question/concern is in regard to pin 19. The CD-auto changer I-BUS comm link. Would I have to do any thing with this input/output to get the head unit to recognize the BT adapter as the CD player?

any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Just buy the adapter from Grom Audio. I've had mine for years. Works perfectly. This is an example of work smarter, not harder.

I second Grom. I wired mine to a fuse using a link because it was draining my battery. But it works fantastic

I also recommend the Grom unit, I have been using mine in place of the CD changer with zero issues, going on 4 years now and I can still use the steering wheel controls.

Be careful you have the correct head unit for the Grom. i went this road, and didn’t. Needs to be an Alpine Unit with a CD aux function. The grom takes the place of the cd multi changer that you may or may not have fitted.

But i second the grom unit. It’s great. Also the grom suppport was good when we were figuring mine out. They tried to alter their unit to get it to work with my odd HU. No avail. I bought an alpine tape deck and fitted that in the end.

Good luck.

The Grom (at least, the aux-in Grom unit) does work with the high-line audio system that has the external CD changer. It doesn't have to be the Alpine unit.
