Aside from looking cool, possibly extra recovery points, don't really know what the advantages of a custom rear bumper would be. Sometimes you can get lucky and find a used one in good shape. Or have a buddy with a welding shop fabricate something nice. As in all things Rover, it's pretty much a matter of personal preference.

Agreed. Plastics have no business being on a truck.

No one has plans for bumpers here only pictures... that being said why wouldn't he just take the truck for a couple of days and fab you one up?
Not everything goes according to plan... get what Im saying?

It's hard to have custom bumpers done from plans on Rovers, seems they all vary a bit . I have the Greg Davis one and love it, but am selling my old metal one(bent) for $199.99

Send me your e-mail address and I will send your a bunch of pictures on how I built mine along with some specs. Don't just turn a shop loose on building a bumper if they have no experience in bumpers and Rovers.
