Default idle sputtering

I have a 1999 LR SD2 and I have changed the spark plugs in my truck... problem is that I am experiencing some sputtering when I idle to a point that I have to at time... put my truck into the park position if Im going to need to idle for awhile.... what is the easiest and most cost effective way to handle this or correct it...

You must always replace the spark plug wires whenever you replace the spark plugs.

hey guys.... I have 145000. I talked with my mechanic that has done all of my work and we pinpointed a couple of possibles. I went from a 93 octane gas to an 87 octane gas for about 2 months. I am back to using a 93 octane now for about 1 week...we changed the spark plugs and wirings last week and started using the higher octane gas now.... I went to Autozone and got the diagnotc test and it came up with multiple codes.... most were misfires and one was the O2 sensor.... I am using Bosch +4 plugs now and my check engine light just came on last night... last year around March my mechanic did a complete renew and upgrade of the entire cooling system only to find out that the thermostat wasnt opening and that was causing it to overheat. We changed the heat gaskets as a precaution and I went with a synthetic oil but I had been running fine since then up until about 2 weeks ago and that when we changed the spark plugs and wiring

What spark plugwires are you using?
A misfire will throw O2 codes.

You must always replace the spark plug wires whenever you replace the spark plugs.
Not always.
8mm Magnacor wires will last at least thru 3 sets of wires and are guaranteed for life.

correction to my last post... I checked with my mechanic.. he just changed the spark plugs and not the wiring... will go with a bosch set of wires.

DO NOT USE BOSCH WIRES!!!!! YOU WILL JUST BE REPLACING THEM AGAIN IN A MONTH!!!
You must use either Land Rover wires or better yet Magnacor wires. Both are avaiable from www.roverconnection.com or www.atlanticbritish.com.
Any other wires and you are wasting your time and money.

X2 from experience, the Bosch will not last. You need to do a good induction/fuel injector cleaning. You are all carboned up.. Never run 87. never
