RE: idle sputtering
If you do a induction cleaning your trk will run better and MPG will improve.
Using injector cleaner will help your trk run better and improve your MPG.
Using premium and a name brand gas will prevent you from having poor run problems and will help keep your intake and injectors clean thus helping to keep your trk running smooth and also improve your MPG.
I do a induction cleaning once a year and a bottle of injector cleaner at every oil change (5,000 miles).
I use Shell gas 90% of the time and always run premium, my trk runs smooth as silk. It idles so smooth and quite that you cannot hardly tell it is running at idle.

RE: idle sputtering
new issue... thanks for the help with the sputtering on the idle.. the idle and everything is running smooth but now my mechanic seems to think that I have a weak coil. When he test drove it... the truck ran fine and idled great but upon take off... if you hammer it or press the gas aggressively it misfires. He disconnected the wires individually to see which plug it was and he found that every plug almost electrecuted him except for the second plug from the front on the driver's side. I have not purchased the coils but have started calling around and Autozone has them for $100 and can get it in 2 days. 2 questions... Do I need the new coil and if so do I get both because we have found that I have 2... Secondly, Where should I buy these from?
