Default Ignition changed, now alarm/immobiliser issues. HELP!!!

Hi Guys

I recently purchased an X Reg Discovery 2 TD5, I drove it home from purchasing it all ok. However then parked it up for a few days before going to drive it again and noticed the key blade had snapped out of the key fob and was lost. I have since replaced the ignition barrel with a second hand one from a breaker. Unfortunately, The alarm likes to sound often and I have this very fast flashing immobiliser light, and obviously the car is not wanting to start or anything. I fear its permanently immobilised somehow. Does anyone have any advice?

Many thanks. A very stressed Landy owner

Try searching D2 immobilized on this forum. Your problem won’t be permanent. I see that you’re in the UK so I think you’ll easily find any parts/electronics at the breakers.
