Default Im Finally Back [Formally Spencer]

Ever since the forum split the Discover 1 and 2 section I haven't seen many of you D2 guys. And then I epicly sunk and sold my D1 most of you guys might not remember me anyway. Since I was gone About 1 year ago I have.. Ridden a Ninja 250 as my only transportation, then bought a LR3, and just two weeks ago a 1997 Range Rover HSE for 1100$. Closer but not the same as my disco..

Im selling the Range rover tomorrow for 1300$ more than I paid for it and am soon picking up a 2003 Discovery I have been eyeballing for maybe a year thats been sitting at a dealership. Its priced Good 5000$, and looks GREAT, needs minor things like wheel arches painted. And has a slight vibration, I believe its not the driveshaft. maybe as simple as tire balance.

Anyways its everything i HAVE EVER wanted my D1 looks but with the better headlights and the 18 hurricane wheels. Cant wait to get in this thing!

Doesn't sound like that dealership sells very many vehicles. I would make them fix the vibration before you purchase it as it could be much more serious than a tire. And if its only a tire you would think for less than fifty bucks they could have all four balanced and have no vibration. If they wont do that small of a investment to make the sale then that explains why they would sit on a discovery for a year and not sell it. Just my opinion,

Nah it's not as they seem. They actually have two discoverys for sale they both been there, they insisted the vehicle was not ready to sell. I insisted I wanted it anyways. They basically had been putting it off, it's a small dealership but they have a lot of nice imports. The battery has been dead for as long as the truck has been there, it is battery not alt. they told me they swapped the driveshafts with the other discovery on the lot and vibration was still there. I asked if they tried simple things such as tire balance they said no. The trucks great. I know what I'm buying, the vibration is minor and in the front/steering only.

So what's up with all this center ball BS? Should I rebuild the driveshaft myself, joints are easy, no clue on the center ball. Or should I get a rebuilt from gbr?

And since this is my thread I'm posting my thoughts. So in that thread with the rover having 200k miles or whatever. People are commerating each other for not fixing small issues on the rovers. While I can't say I'm gonna not fix issues. On my next one I'm not gonna go nuts chasing oil leaks and such. But I just wanted to point that this is almost the exact opposite of what people have always said about maintenence keeping them going.

I obsessed over my last one and it was stupid.

Ok so also my range rover I had for 3 weeks, had 180k miles and the engine felt absolutely great! I mean ran awesome had the power the 4.0 never could. It was a 4.6 gems
