Default Inconsistant Idle

I was sitting in my '03 Rover about 44K miles at a stoplight with the AC running and felt the engine being a little more active than normal.
My RPM's stay consistant but it almost feels like I'm running rich. It kind of sounds like my RPM's are jumping a bit but they don't. It's a bit louder with the AC's running but you can still hear it when the AC's off. You can also feel it slightly in the brake pedal.

It may be nothing but what should I look for? I checked all my levels and the only thing that is a bit low is my coolant.

Thanks in advance.

--If you give me something to check give me as much info as possible, I'm still getting used to crawling under and on my beast.

How many miles on your truck, how long since it was tuned, what octane gas are you running?

OK,
There is no scheduled tune up till 60,000 miles.
You may be carboning up a little, I bet the throttle body is is dirty and the idle contol unit should be cleaned.
You might want to get in touch with me so I can point you in the right direction.

I put some Sea Foam in the gas tank today when I first noticed it. Should I run some thru the throttle body, via the vac tube?

One more thing, my Check Engine Light just came on. And I feel it more when it's in gear. If I'm in park and neutral you can hardly feel it. But once in drive or reverse or with the AC on it's more noticable.

Any prognosis?

Go get your codes read at the local auto parts store and get back to me with the fault codes. Then it will probably be time to clean the throttle body, the idle control unit, do an induction cleaning and flush the engine, all or part.

will do. I also did a full engine flush about 3K miles ago. But maybe it needs another. I know if was service by the prev owner at a dealer but I don't know what kind of care or the prev owners habits.

I'll get back with the codes.

Had this problem on my 98 disco in the early spring. Lubricated the throttle assembly and the problem went away. That was the first thing I checked before anything else. I thought the winter weather had some influence.
