It’s probably clogged or nearly clogged = no flow. What year D2 do you have? 99-02 removal is a breeze! 03-04 wrap the nipple with tape, then gently twist out with some pliers.

I have an 03. My apologies if it has been answered in this thread... what do you stick back in the hole the baffle is removed from?

Nothing goes back in place of the baffle.
The pvc on the other end of the hose/into upper intake has a one way check valve in it.
Remove the baffle, push the hose on the valve cover, and connect to the thread-in pvc, done.
Myself and several of us have done this per Best4x4's recomendation.

i drilled right through the tube on my '03, because i had the rocker cover off. you need to have some way of connecting the hose to the cover so if you remove the tube entirely, you're going to have to replace it with something. maybe something along the lines of the brass hose spigot that some people used at the intake end when the original plastic part would break? that might thread into the rocker cover and form a good seal.

The 03-04 nipple on the valve cover is pressed in. Wrap it with electrical tape & gently twist it with some pliers. It should come out, then remove the baffle & tap it back into place on the valve cover.

that's not the question that was asked. the instruction given for removing the baffle on the '03-'04 models indicated that the entire pipe should be removed ("wrap with tape and twist") but that would leave nothing to attach the hose to. on the earlier years the baffle can be removed from the top without damaging the pipe, but that's not the case on the later models.

Yeah some are stubborn for sure, you can try soaking it or using a little heat on it, but it is just pressed in. I’ve had some just fall out with the line attached lol, just depends.

Uh, yeah...it was
Re-read post #42, about what to put back in the hole, as in after the baffle is removed.

The baffle is removed from the tube, not remove the whole tube itself, and given post #42, the guy asking the question knows that. I have personally done this too...on my 04

i was reading the question as the "hole" being the hole in the rocker cover after the baffle tube was removed. personally i didn't see any way to remove the baffle via the top of the tube on my '03.
