I've been doing that for about a month now.

So far had success with horn buttons (got them for free), cup holders ($10 both), rear bumper reflector lights, owner manual ($1), and emblems.

Tomorrow scouring junkyards for more

I lucked out on the trailer harness but I need to get one of these adapters so I can hopefully borrow my bosses overland trailer or borrow my uncles jet skis. https://www.etrailer.com/Wiring/Pollak/PK12742.html

I have yet to find one with cup holders at the yard. Hoping to get some one day because the ones under the HVAC controls don't hold cups well and if you do actually get a cup to fit they block the controls or hit the radio buttons depending on the size cup.

Do you guys think there's a point in taking headlights?

Obviously, they are expensive and can run $100+ per headlight on eBay. But the issue is that the headlights at junkyards are oxidized, UV toasted, and God knows what else, even if you're lucky to find those without any cracks.

I failed once doing that. Took a headlight out of an 03 D2 Limited; the headlight looked sick but could use some restoration. The restoration failed once I quickly realized that the lens is oxidized from inside..sold for a break even price, but it was still a fail because I spent time and tied up money for no reason.

That's why I prefer 94-02 Glass Headlights on my D1/D2's. Plastic ones are pretty, but the H7 bulbs they use don't last nearly as long as the H4/9003, they are more common to get moisture on the inside, and they then fade from the UV.

I've seen some 94-02 Glass ones get foggy, but it's usually from a crack, or a bad rubber boot.

thats the only ones I would go after if I was pulling them. The 03/04 are a pia to get cleaned up properly

You can make some good cash if you are willing to work. Look into baking headlights, it was an old Subaru trick I learned.
