Don't waste a lot of time other then to check two things, are your brakes squeaking and if you throw a panic stop on a loose surface, can you feel the ABS kicking in. Any thing else and you are just wasting time, get it to a shop, get an estimate and get back to us.

If I read the Rave CD correctly if you had a bad shuttle valve your ABS would not be disabled the threshold would just be raised.

I'm having similar issues. I'm doing my brakes this weekend re bleeding then taking to the dealer to get the codes read and cleared. They said they would do it for $60. I really want an ABS amigo but for $200 I need other things worse.

I lied to them and said I knew the code and fixed the problem so I just need them read again and then cleared because I fixed the problem.
