Default Key fob stopped unlocking/locking doors

So I have had my disco about 3 months and the fob has worked as advertised the whole time. Tonight I noticed my front dome light was out so I went to pull the bulb and the lights in the truck went out all of a sudden. Then when I went to lock it there was no corresponding action. Now I have to use the key in the door to unlock And lock. It also started just fine. I read a procedure in the rave but i do not have the code to do it. Does anyone know how I can find the code to do the key turn sequence? Or will this even fix it? Any help to get my auto lock unlock fixed would be greatly appreciated.

check fuse 20 inside truck, and fuse link 3 under the hood. A fuse link has screws that hold it in place, will need a meter to test. Those go to the interior lights.

As for the key fob try putting the key in door and locking and unlocking three times fast if no luck the 'bcu' may be dead or failing. Sorry for the bad news

I always start with the simple things, does the red light come on the fob when you press the button, your battery might have died in the fob....

I know BC was an aircraft tech, but some times we over look the simplest of things when looking for a problem. I was in no way meaing to demean or insult any ones inteligence. I have done similar things in the past whilst trying to find a solution as we overlook the obvious to work the bigger picture

Yeah the light on the fob comes on and the battery was replaced probably 2 weeks ago. I am going to check the fuses this morning. It's really not that big of a deal just convient to have.

Try putting the key in door and unlocking and locking three times then and repost progress.

The key unlock lock three times was unsuccessful. The rave talks about a procedure to put the key in ignition and program it but you need a 4 number security code? Not sure if I am able to do this but would like to try if I can

I think the 4 number code is for the cassette player when it is locked. You need to try wait until DM, buzz, spike or maybe G chimes in I would bet its a bcu issue though.
