Default Leaky Caliper

Front driverside caliper is leaking. Clearly needs to be replaced or rebuilt.
.
1) Is the effort to rebuild worth it?
.
2) When you replace a caliper should you do so in pairs or as in bnoth front calipers? Or is that not required?

Thanks

I personaly would do both at the same time. I would also get rebuilt calipers instead of a rebuild kit but thats my opinion. Calipers are like brake pads you should always do them by the axle if not you might have a "pull" to one side instead of even braking.

If I was going new/rebuilt, I would do pairs. If you can find a good used one, I would do one.

I read somewhere that they improved the seals on the new calipers so there is less delay when braking. I would change them both so you have equal braking.

What year is your Disco?

I replaced my rear calipers with new ones from Rovers North (ProLine) very good price, good looking caliper. Do it in pairs to maintain even braking.

Check out the selection of calipers at British Parts of Utah, price is pretty good and the quality is even better.
