LEAVES are cursed!
Ive taken out my heater blower motor several times this year because those dam leaves keep clogging up the fan and making loud noises when I have the heat on. Recently I even replaced the air intake felt below the front windshield with a genuine felt and somehow these dam leaves just keep getting into the system. What gives? How or where else are the leaves entering into the heater motor? Any thoughts?

They fall from the trees...
Good question. I pulled a couple out last season. Try this. Run the fan on high speed and see if you can locate where the fresh air is being sucked in. It's gotta be in the location of the front intake where you replaced the filter.

I read that someone added more felt inside the intake duct but i dont want to obstruct anything inside. I feel like the new felt I installed below the windshield should prevent anything from getting inside. i double checked the felt tonight and all the clips that hold it in place as secure and the felt is properly installed so I dont get where the hell the leaves are getting in. But they are full eaves, not all broken up.

an update on the leave issue Ive been having. Pulled everything apart again today, took out more leaves then I decided to take another look at 2 rubber molding pieces I had stored in my tool box:
MOULDING PLENUM RH AIR DISCOVERY II, RNS293, JAG000040 - Rovers North - Classic Land Rover Parts
MOULDING PLEMUM LH AIR DISCOVERY II, RNS294, JAG000050 - Rovers North - Classic Land Rover Parts
When I first got the truck I found them in the engine bay near the air duct, just sitting there with no apparent purpose. Could not figure them out so I took them out and stored them in my tool box. Its apparent now that they clip in the ends of the air duct on either side of the vehicle and I think their purpose is to prevent leaves and other objects from getting inside under the hood and thus into the air system. Took me some research to figure out how they install but now that they are properly in we will see if anymore leaves get into the system. Ill keep everyone updated within the next couple days. Being Fall all leaves quickly find their way into any nook and cranny.
