Lift kit for discovery 2
Yeah im pretty confused. so did it make a pretty noticeable difference in ride height with the 2" ? Also did you have someone install this for you? If so how much was installation?
It was a pretty noticeable difference, suttle compared to some that you see but all I would ever need. I did it myself. Not that bad at all. I'm sure you could do it also. You would love it.
It does make a difference in how the truck looks, a good difference. As to wether or not you can install the lift, I know many people who have, takes a few tools and a little mechanical know how.
hi,
I'm also looking to do a slight lift - was looking at the OME 1.75" and then I came across this post with the 2" coil spacers, has anyone used these? any feedback/suggestions? I've put larger tires on my disco - Toyo Open Country A/T 285/60/18 and now I have a bit of rub on the front wheel wells on full crank. Was thinking about just removing the inside splash guards on the wheel well but think I'd prefer the lift for the added clearance.
Thanks,

Do not use spacers as a substitute for sagging height from tired Rover coils, all you will land up with is a sloppy suspension that is 2"s taller.
Call Tony at Cerrones/LRRFourms.com, 650-365-4145, and order a good OME lift, you will be much happier and they have about the OME prices on line.

Yes that's the lift I was talking about that I installed on mine. Coil spring spacers, 2 inch. Not hard to install. You will need to rent coil spring compressors. I got them at auto zone. Most parts stores where I live will rent them. Nice big jack stands too, I have 6 ton stands. And if this is your first time tackling something like this you will need probably just about most of the day to do it in. They will come with pretty good instructions and pictures explaining also. I actually still have a brand new coil spring spacer lift in the box with air bag rear that I bought for my 99 d2 but I sold it and bought the 03 before I could install. I need to sell it I guess and will sell it real cheap if anyone reading this is interested.
What's this OH WELL stuff. This will be one of the best things you have ever done to your truck.
Call Tony, tell him what you do with the truck and he will guide you towards one of 4 OME coil sets for your truck.
