Default Lift put on hold till front driveshaft is replaced?

I installed the OME steering damper tonight and the OME shocks (N107 & N108) should be here on Monday. I'm in the process of trying to sell my running boards to buy a set of RTE springs (RR3 & RR4) but thought it would be better to spend the money having the front driveshaft rebuilt. Everything runs nice and smooth, but I am at ~82K miles, and that seems to be the sweet spot for the failure to happen. I want to take RoverFlo to Cerrone's, though technically they have it sent out for the rebuild according to Frank.

So are you going to remove the drive shaft and let Frank have it, if so engage your CDL so you can drive on the rear shaft.

I'll probably just drop it off at Cerrone's and have them pull it. Just talked to Frank again and he has a rebuilt drive shaft on the shelf. What I need to do to coordinate with a friend to drive down with me so I can get back to SF, and then get back before they close. He also mention the rear drive shaft (or at least the roto-flex) should be replaced after the lift is installed.

Are you going to install a new rotoflex, I did and would suggest that as opposed to change out to a u-joint.
I replaced my roto flex at 85K and with my near 3" lift I have no issues.

I'll attempt the rotoflex if it's not too complicated, is it a pretty straight forward swap? If the old one is in decent condition is it worth holding on to as an emergency backup?

Changing out a roto flex is a 15 minute job, with 2 wrenchs, just remove the 6 bolts and install tyhe new one. If your roto flex comes with a bushing, just hang on to it. You might hold onto the old disc if it is not cracked badily.

Been talking to a friend of mine and he has replaced drive shafts multiple times before, so I think we'll attempt to do the replacement in his garage. Anything we need to be aware of or special tools we may need? I've printed a bunch of posts off DWeb on the removal, but haven't had a chance to look through them yet.
