No rubbing on turns on the way home, pavement is nice with a slight hum rides better than 10ply E load rated tires would ride, im relieved.

I mean these ARE 10ply load rated E tires and they ride better than I thought they would, but they are still new so.. we will see.

Good news. Thanks for the photos... looking forward to daytime ones too. And that's with no lift and 18s, right?

what you'd think about a Rovertym 2" kit with HD springs and OME shocks... any experience with the ride quality? IF I keep my 18s, what size tire should I run without rubbing or trimming (and yes, I am considering switching to 16s, but I don't think I do enough off-roading to matter as much, nor is tire price a huge factor for me)? Overall, I'm looking for a good balance between a comfortable ride, off-road performance for the few weekend trips I'll take, and a quiet, yet aggresive-ish look. Any others running a similar combo with advice?[/QUOTE]

I have the Rovertym 2" kit and 18" wheels and I went with a 255/70r18 (32") Firestone Destination AT. This combination looks great and I receive tons of compliments. The narrow tires really give the truck a more classic Rover look. As for the ride it is firm but much improved over the worn stock springs. I don't have any rubbing at all.

I installed the lift yesterday, took about 5 hrs. The truck sits almost five inches taller than before with the old springs and tires. Rides BETTER than before, its tighter, I really like it, I got the "medium" kit.

Thank you 540, Im still impressed with the ride and look of it , but im chasing a metallic clanking noise over bumpy roads thats driving me nuts. No marks on front driveshaft from hitting a crossmember, exhaust isnt hitting anything. May be sway bar end links or worse a wheel bearing or two. Still researching this issue, never a dull moment.

Your truck looks great! Can you give an update on how the tires are holding up? Are you happy with overall performance, sound, quality? I appreciate any info you could share. I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a set and was hoping for some feed back. Thanks!
