I'm pretty sure they both go on one end, cant remember which one though. Sorry I cant be more helpful.

Also, I'm sure you'll do it anyways but just so its been said, make sure you tighten in the correct sequence to the correct torque specs each time (7 ft-lb first round, 35 ft-lb second round, and don't tighten the valley pan gasket clamp all the way until the manifold is on.

Been awhile since I dove into the lower intake, but I want to say they go in the front.

Take one of the short bolts and then drop it in each of the holes. It will soon become apparent which holes the longer bolts go into. (that's how I used to do it, can't remember which ones are the long ones)

To piggy back off of this question is it okay to overtorque the bolts a little bit? I just pulled my head yesterday because I thought I had a head gasket leak, yet the gasket showed signs of failure, however the back lower intake bolts were found to be only hand tight. I previously had coolant running down the back of my engine after driving, and 20 mins after pressure testing. What about threadlocker?

Yes on the threadlocker; I've been told by others that they have a tendency to vibrate lose so locking them down is a must. I'm using loctite blue just because I was unsure what to use and it seemed the most middle road. Technically the procedure for removing bolts with red is to heat the bolt to 450 deg and torching an intake manifold seemed like a dumb idea.

As for torque, there are specs for a reason, over torquing can cause leaks just like under-torque, in some cases even make worse leaks. The reason is you crush and break the gasket if you over-torque. The Rave manual has an entire page on the procedure of bolting those intakes back on and is very specific that you do an entire round in the illustrated order of 7 ft*lb then you do it again in the same order at 35 ft*lb. Don't just bolt ***** nilly else you'll compromise the seal on the gasket and all the work would have been wasted.

It's 38lbs by the way everybody keeps getting it wrong, but here is the sequence. The longer bolts go in the front holes.
