Here's some links to a couple eBay items you might be interested in. I bought mine from Taiwan. Required a couple drill holes after placement and measurement but it's heavy duty and seems to be holding up well. I also replaced the A Pillar Trim using the same material and same eBay seller. This was after the recommendation of some other forum members. Mine was obliterated and neglected by PO.

Those are the same ones that Miami rovers has on eBay for like $195 I believe. No intake filter since its fiberglass and the Miami rovers already has the cutouts

I was going to try to "fix" my cowl but its AFU. It's totally cracked in halves....

Default Use Caution When Opening Hood

I noticed this earlier this morning when opening my hood in the dark. The key to prevent the flexing and possibility of cracking an old weather beaten cowl is to not over extend the hood when opening. If raised just far enough to deploy/insert hold open it will not contact the cowl.

LR screwed us on this one by not using gas struts or other hardware to prevent the damage.

There's a thread or two here about strut mods. May want to consider if investing in a new cowl.

Anybody try using Flex tape over the crack in the window cowl?
I've used Flex tape for my rear cargo door handle since the plastic is weathered and cracked all to hell. The tape has held up nicely for 7 months now and was wondering if it would work for the cowl.
It might look ghetto but it'll keep some of the water leaking in.

I used some sheet plastic and and a JB Weld epoxy designed for plastic crack repair on mine.

JB Weld 1st and let it dry, a light sanding after to smooth it off

Attach the plastic, the squares were suppose to be face down oops

Some weight to hold it in place while drying then paint black
