Default Made Some Changes

Made some changes to the Disco yesterday and today. I decided to go ahead and remove the Hi-Lift jack since the bolts holding it onto the bumper had a coat of rust on them and the rubber spacers that I had on there to keep it from rattling was holding that rusty water inside only making things worse, and on top of that the previous owner had to shove the hood back as far as he could just so that it could pass the Hi-Lift when you open it. So of-course that threw it all out of line. I plan on moving it to the rack anyways.

Also the window tint on the front passenger window was starting to peal off at the bottom. It makes it hard to see when your backing up at night in the middle of nowhere anyways. So I just removed both sides and plan on leaving it that way. The rest of the windows are about as dark as can be so that's good enough for me. It was'nt until I pulled the tint off and started to remove the glue I found out just exactly why the window tint on that side was pealing. It had been applied on top of another layer of window tint, unlike the driver side.

Also yesterday I finished up mounting my 03/04 headlights by making a bracket and riveting it onto the fender just for extra support and then making another hole to screw the headlight down with. Solid as can be. Now all I need to do is get a can of paint mixed up, spray the headlight finishers, and put them on. Painted the washer fluid bottle black just for the hell of it for the time being though.

Glad you took it off of there. Better on the roof rack than in your face. That hood needs big time help!!! Good luck doing that

If anything ever happened, God forbid, those rusted bolts could snap and send the jack flying through the windshield. Up on the rack is a much better place for it.

Had some paint mixed up a a local body shop supply place today and I painted my grey headlight finisher to match the truck now as well. Also moved my GPS to, what I believe, is going to be it's permanent location. Just need to hard wire it in now.
