I just completed the repair kit method a couple weeks ago. The only thing I would suggest is taking the hard lines off the master cylinder and running some fluid through, then reattach the hard lines and go to town bleeding. It's a nightmare to bleed. At least it was for me. But it's all straightened out now. Took about two of the big bottles of brake fluid.

The other difficult area was replacing the o-rings on the plunger that goes into the booster. That whiteish-yellow cap was a nightmare to remove.

Thanks for the response. Any special tools required for the repair?

A vise helps once you get the master cylinder off the booster. That's about it.

Default Brakes leaking

The ABS pump comes on and off after every stop and go, is this normal?

No it is not. I suggest starting a new thread because your issue is not related to the Master Cylinder.

I believe the reservoir sits on a rubber grommet arrangement which leaks over time. By the sounds AB appear to do a repair kit.

You can see the grommet in this photo.

But don't buy this one as I used the photo as an example and this is for a D1 NOT a D2.

Power Brakes in Australia have the individual replacement grommets. Approximately $16 in US dollars plus international shipping. If you can wait on shipping.
