Default Moon Roof Screens

Has anyone had to replace the little hook on the retractable screens? I could probably just get one from the junk yard, but I was seeing how hard it is to replace.

Junk yard is your best best, I doubt they sell something like that on Atlantic British. Im sure they sell the entire screen, but not just the hook. Find someone on here parting out, or go check out a junk yard.

Right, gonna have to go to a junk yard. I tried to pick one up at a dealer and they only sell as the full retractable screen piece and retractor roller thingy. Pretty pricey when all you need is just the little plastic hook.

pep boys has these seat belt clips that work with some modifications.
you have to use the "hook" part.
cut it off of the piece
epoxy it to the top of the handle using whats left as your meat to glue to.
(im assuming yours has broke off at the clip part, leaving the handle yes?)

mine has stood up to 100+ temps in the desert so it seems to work.

I got a piece of aluminum and bent it into a hook, then drilled a small hole through the remaining plastic and screwed the aluminum on top of it. I used a black screw so from inside you can't even tell it is there.

Yeah, mine broke off at the hook. Does anyone know of a way to get the entire clip off of the screen? Pics of peoples creative ideas would be cool to see.
