Default Mounting a rack on stock rails

Hey all!

Any of you tried mounting a rack on just the stock rails of a Discovery 2? It looks like things would be pretty tight for something like a ski/snowboard rack.

If not, any recommendations for a cross bar setup that will mount on the gutters?

you can buy cross bars for the stock rack, you can even buy an extention to make your rack full length to the back of the truck, try BPU

I'll likely pick up some aftermarket bars, but I'm more curious about the available length for front/back spacing on the factory side rails(and whether a rear rail would be necessary for spacing).

I'll throw some skis up there and see.
