Default MS&D Lights

Here is a video I shot with my phone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNl4j...er_profilepage After doing a little reading I think its just the battery. My ignition switch is crapping out and I left the key in the ignition overnight out of frustration. I bet it drained too much juice.

This weekend I have a laundry list of issues to deal with so I will add testing my alternator to the list.

Am I on the right track with my diagnosis?

I started to get the same thing, but only when running the AC during stop-and-go traffic.
I took my rig to the local AutoZone and had the guy I actually trust there test my battery and alternator... he couldn't tell me whether the battery was struggling to hold a charge or if the alternator wasn't delivering enough juice back to the battery. Funny thing is that nothing else is affected. Right now I'm just turning off my AC before I come to a stop as a temporary solution.

Let us know what the battery and alt test tell you.

Helena Rover, I can only assume that you are in Birmingham since you have helena in your screen name and a UAB logo as your profile pic. If you need to get the alternator and/or battery checked to make sure, the NAPA on 280 has a really good set up that is far superior to the ones at Auto Zone and Advance Auto.

After the truck has been sitting, pull the battery, take it to Autozone (or the auto parts store of your choosing) and have them hook it up to the tester. Anything below 13.6A is going to give you the problems you and the OP are describing.
