How?!?!?! i thought it had to be 25 years old to import it to US/Can if it wasn't sold here originally, or is not up to date with safety & emissions.

Canada is 15 years, but there is some rumbling to change to 25, maybe to comply with the US or maybe because car dealers have bent Canadians over for so long and would like to have even more of it?

It never even occurred to me that it is possible to convert RHD to LHD. How difficult would this actually be?

easy as in nothing more than access to a wrecked LHD for parts? No cutting/welding?

as far as converting rhd to lhd it looks like it would be a lot of trouble to me. you'd have to replace the whole dash and then deal with steering.

exactly. but the parts are readily available because the damn things are made to be RHD.... some things they didnt even modify like the rear gate that swings open to the curb here in America... that drives me crazy.

Actually you can keep the original dash, the instrument cowel comes off and then the air bag would go in that hole and vise verse.
Steering wheel, everything is swapable.
You would have to move the steering box and master cylinder as well as the pedals of course.
Once you get it home study it, then find a wrecked one and study it.
You will see most everything is there.
