Is my Transmission shot..?
 

So the timing cover gasket blew on me, and while assembling the cooling system I did not properly install the transmisson line (Driver side) that snaps into the radiator itself. Needless to say the fluid dumped out leaving me stuck on the side of the road. Towed it home filled the tranny and drove it for about 15 mins then it lost power again. Towed it home the second time and let it idle for 20 mins checked transmission level with the car in neutral running, I overfilled it by a quart 1/2 to two. Adjusted to the proper level while also addding a bottle of lucas transmission slip / fix. Now the vehicle will only go into reverse and when placed in drive the m/s lights blink with no movement. recieved P1590, P0722, p0560 codes (not sure if they relate also need to replace wheel hub sensor)

722, output speed sensor no signal,
1590 3 amigos
560, system voltage malfunction.

Remove the XYZ switch, open it up, clean it, lube it, seal it, try again.

You have probably caused your truck computer to go in to a safe/limp mode get everything adjusted to the appropriate levels and give it another shot may have to clear code 560 &722 before this will straighten out.

Alright got the old switch back in, can't figure out how to adjust it. The key is stuck in the ignition and won't register in park. Is it a bad switch ?

To clarify, the XYZ switch you adjusted and put back in is on the side of the transmission?

I believe so. Could it be a faulty switch? And not sure about the adjustment? Will not go into park.

There is no adjustment on the XYZ switch.
Open it, clean it, lube it, seal it, put it back.

The mounting points for the XYZ switch are slotted and without the Land Rover alignment the job will require two people. One person in the cab reading the shift point (key in position two and selector in D to start) and the second person to tighten the switch at the proper location.

FYI - We had a bear of time because the switch would lose its alignment when the truck was at operating temp. A suggestion would be to do this when the truck is at operating temp. and be careful of the catalytic converter.
