Default Need ideas on timing chain problem

I spent the weekend replacing timing chain and gears, oil pump, water pump, oil pan gasket, valve cover gaskets, ignition coils and wires. Drove for about 5 mins and right when pulling into the driveway oil started coming out pretty good. Not sure but looks like it came from the timing chain cover. I noticed when started it was kinda rough running, would kinda back fire when gassing it but seemed to level out smoothly, any ideas or suggestions would be very helpful, ty

Do you have a scan tool? Check for codes. Running rough could be plug wires not fully seated. Oil leak could be front cover/oil pan gasket, front seal, oil filter, etc. Really, you need to clean everything up and start engine, watching for leakage.

I never got any codes during the few mins it was on. Seemed like something popped when the oil started spewing

Front main seal probably wasn't seated properly but that just explains the leak not the rough idle. I'd check all plugs and wires.

After further investigation it does not seem to be oil. My oil level is still the same and the fluid that came out was a dark brown and kinda watery. Im going to go ahead and pull it apart again and confirm I have TDC and also look for leaks. Curious if it was trans fluid

power steering fluid also leaks from the front. driver side dish. how is the PAS fluid level? you could have disturbed the hoses when you removed the cover. I assume you did move the PAS out of the way.

I did move them around but checked all the fluids and they are all topped off still.

@me 2 if it is transmission fluid you need to change that out, it should be red. Check the transmission cooler lines, see if one of them got nicked or is leaking.

The pain is you can not check it until the engine is running
