Need a new indie mechanic
in Chicago.
So, I had found a great indie mechanic in Chicago, Lincoln Park area ... Exotic Car Enterprises on Willow. Mike and Ricardo are really knowledgable LR guys, and beat going to the dealer!
I stopped by last week to get him to do an oil change and pressure check the cooling system because something is leaking somewhere, and there is a court order saying "Do Not Occupy" plastered all over the building. Have not been able to get the story on this, so if any of you other Chicago LR's know what is going on please let the forum know.
Ironically, I was there at the same time as the owner of a 2002 DII, we were both scratching our heads and saying "not sure what I am going to do now". I don't trust just any independent to work on this beast ... even my Triumph guy, who works on everything from Ferrari to MB to BMW, misses things on this truck.
Anyone in Chicago have another indie mechanic to suggest in Chicago or the suburbs? I hate the thought of going back to the dealer.
Thanks for any suggestions ...

www.cartalk.com, "Mechanix Files", enter your zip code.
The "Do Not Occupy" is either a health code violation or a OSHA violation.
Now just imagine if your truck had been in the shop when it was shut down.
Imagine going home to your wife and telling her that you are now out of work because your boss is a tool.
Now imagine telling your kids that Santa may not be coming this year.
All because your boss is a tool.
